Lightspeed Audio Labs Appoints Music Industry Veteran Lisa Weiss as Newest Member to Board of Directors
Tinton Falls, NJ (January 3, 2007) – Lightspeed Audio Labs Inc., a developer of real-time, Web-based music collaboration technology, has appointed Lisa Weiss, a music industry veteran, to the company's Board of Directors. Ms. Weiss joins board members Mark Malek, co-founder of Lightspeed Audio Labs and Ramana Jampala, a partner with SAS Investors which led the initial funding round. Ms. Weiss will provide strategic guidance as the company launches its technology platform and services for musical enthusiasts to create and listen to digital-quality audio over the Internet in real time.
A partner of the Morrison & Foerster law firm, Ms. Weiss is a member of the Corporate Group based in New York City. Before joining Morrison & Foerster, Ms. Weiss served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Sony BMG Music Entertainment. Prior to the merger of Sony Music and BMG, she was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Sony Music, and was instrumental in structuring the deal that established Sony BMG as the world's second largest recorded music company. At Morrison & Foerster, her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, distribution and licensing transactions and private equity transactions, with a specific emphasis on the entertainment industry.

In addition to her work in the music and music publishing industries, Ms. Weiss has worked on transactions involving film, cable television, children's television and video programming, advertising, magazine, newswire, radio, digital music distribution, direct marketing, wireless paging, Internet and other entertainment, media and technology businesses.
